WHY A LEAN SIX SIGMA PRACTICAL ASSIGNMENT?
The main reason for the Lean Six Sigma assignment is proof of practical experience. On the one hand, you are demonstrating that you have mastered the Lean Six Sigma techniques and also that you are capable of implementing a change.
WHAT DOES A PRACTICAL ASSIGNMENT CONSIST OF?
A practical assignment is usually an improvement project within your own organization. The project must demonstrably contribute to the goal of your organization: continuously reduce operational costs and/or increase customer satisfaction. An improvement project should always have a positive business case and can ultimately never cost more money than it generates.
Examples include: Improving the NPS score. Fewer complaints in customer service. Improved quality of products and services. Reduction of processing times. Less administrative pressure.
WHERE DO YOU FIND PROJECTS?
Initially we would suggest that you search for projects in your own work environment. The proceeds of the project are many times higher than the investment in the training and coaching costs. If you do not have the opportunity to do a project within your own organization, then you are free to look elsewhere for a project. As long as you meet the framework conditions, you can think of projects within associations in which you operate. Or perhaps you have friends or family members who have their own company. Think about your children’s school, volunteering in your community or even charities. Health care institutions are always very busy trying to reduce costs and optimizing the quality of care. By utilizing your knowledge this way, the benefits are twofold.
IS A PRACTICAL ASSIGNMENT NECESSARY TO TAKE THE TRAINING COURSE?
The practical assignment is proof that you can apply the theory in practice. If you do not complete a Lean Six Sigma project, but only the theoretical program, then you will receive a partial certificate from us (also called the theory certificate). In short, you can take the theoretical program without the practical assignment. And you can still initiate your practical assignment 2 years after completing the theoretical part.
Note: After completion of the theoretical part, you are not a Green Belt or Black Belt yet. A Green Belt or Black belt is a Lean Six Sigma specialist who has proven himself in the field.
OUR GOAL
The Lean Six Sigma Company’s goal is to bring Lean Six Sigma specialists onto the market. The value of the certificate depends on the appreciation of the employers/clients for the results of the Green Belt or Black Belt that we trained. The Lean Six Sigma Company is highly regarded on the market. To maintain this position, we will need to deliver highly skilled professionals constantly. Students with a Certificate of Achievement from The Lean Six Sigma Company can submit this document to their employers/clients to show that they are specialists in Lean and Six Sigma. The Lean Six Sigma Company supports the quality of these professionals 100%.
